The classic, well-loved teen movie, Wild Child displays actress Emma Roberts in all her glory as she adapts from an affluent, party-driven lifestyle in Malibu, California, to a dull, all-girls boarding school in the UK, as her father attempts to stop her from acting out and misbehaving. In an initial attempt to get expelled from the school to return home, a close-knit bond develops between Roberts, known in the film as Poppy Moore, and her four roommates, as she adapts to her new lifestyle. Poppy makes the most of her situation, she strips back to a natural look and takes an interest in Lacrosse, but a jealous personality attempts to ruin her school experience by causing chaos to turn her roommates and love interest against her. Don’t panic, as it is one of the best rom-com movies from the 2000s, so it does eventually result in a happy ending!
Bride Wars
All childhood besties Liv and Emma have ever longed for is their big day. From a young age, their dream was to have their wedding dates at the famous Plaza Hotel in New York, with each other by their sides on their wedding day. After both are proposed on the same day, the planning begins. Upon meeting with their wedding planner, Marion St. Claire, the girls, portrayed by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, secure both of their dates on separate days in June. However, events take a sharp turn when a secretary error schedules both weddings on the same day. Eventually, actions take a turn for the worst as the girls turn into enemies and plan a series of damaging effects on one another in an attempt to sabotage each other’s big day.
What Happens in Vegas
Winnings in the wild world of Las Vegas can be spectacular however, not when you are Jack and Joy. Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher brilliantly portray the two main characters who end up married after a wild night on Nevada’s famous strip. The plot twist? The pair had only known one another for a matter of hours before tying the knot. In a frantic attempt to file for divorce after the couple begins to acknowledge the reality of their drunken mistake, a spanner is thrown in the works after Jack hits a three-million-dollar jackpot in a slot machine, with Joy’s quarter. The plot follows Diaz and Kutcher as they attempt to make their marriage work for at least six months, to allow them to eventually split the winnings. Knocked Up
Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, who portray exceedingly contrasting characters, Alison and Ben, find themselves in an awkward situation after a regrettable one-night stand. After acknowledging their differences, the pair go their separate ways, only to reconcile once Alison realises that she may be pregnant. As a career-driven, LA reporter, she decides to keep the child, although is influenced by her mother not to, but keeps it on the down-low in an attempt to save her job role. Meanwhile, a lowlife and jobless Ben agrees to support Alison as they both strive to make their new relationship work. Ben displays immediate signs of irresponsibility and the relationship begins to dwindle as the pair part ways once again. Eventually, Ben realises his loss and is determined to make it work with Alison as the pair successfully deliver their newborn baby girl.
