Dmitriy Krestyaninov is an entrepreneur and co-founder and owner of the French watch brand Brother & Sisters. Since founding the brand in 2017, Dimitriy has been able to scale it under the mission of selling “luxury jewelry without the luxury price.” His goal from day one has been to provide modern, stylish jewelry pieces to the average consumer that add a stylish touch to every aesthetic, and Brother & Sisters has taken off as a result.
Dmitriy first became interested in the fashion industry as a teen. He even dreamt of becoming a watchmaker in Switzerland, which led him to found Brother & Sisters. He couldn’t believe how hard it was to find a stylish piece without spending a fortune, and all of the low-priced options were low-quality or unappealing. This frustration fueled Dimitriy to partner with his sister to grow the brand into what it is today, and the journey has been incredible every step of the way.
Brother & Sisters started by selling only men’s bracelets and rings for the first few months. Sales were decent, but everything changed when Dmitriy added women’s jewelry to the brand’s product lines. Their sales skyrocketed, and they haven’t looked back since. By summer 2018, Dmitriy personally designed a women’s watch collection for the brand, and he’s done a special line of custom-designed watches each year since.
Not only were the initial products for Brother & Sisters incredibly well made, but Dmitriy was also brilliant with marketing the brand. He made the move to partner with micro-influencers early on, and the brand is now partnered with more than 10,000 active ambassadors worldwide. This marketing tactic has been very inexpensive and has helped the brand grow organically all around the world in a short period of time.
Now that the brand is in a good spot, Dmitriy spends more time giving his time and wisdom away to rising entrepreneurs. He teaches others about the intricacies of e-commerce and passes on invaluable knowledge of how to grow a brand and avoid the pitfalls that can come from trying to scale a brand.
Now, Dmitriy is focused on growing Brother & Sisters to become an international powerhouse. The brand has caught on in countries around the world. He wants the brand to be a household name in countries like America, England, and Australia and will stop at nothing to make that dream a reality.
