The global Covid-19 pandemic has created a huge dent in the commercial real estate market. With countless employees being relocated to work from home and many businesses forced to close temporarily or permanently, the occupancy rate of office space has taken a slight hit. Despite the challenging times, the German industry leader Lianeo Real Estate has significantly reduced its vacancy at some of its office properties and recently announced the conclusion of a long-term ten-year lease in Berlin-Steglitz.
Lianeo Real Estate is a rising property management and leasing specialist company, headquartered in Berlin (although present throughout the country, with offices in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Hannover). It focuses on commercial and office real estate, offering its clients a comprehensive platform for asset, property, facility and leasing management. They currently administer an impressive number of assets, including the German Vivion portfolio, in many central locations.
The company belongs to well-known Israeli businessman Amir Dayan (אמיר דיין). Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1974, he operates primarily in real estate development in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, and is active in the European hotel business, hospitality and real estate fields since 2005.
The new deal refers to 1,800 m² property that was leased to an independent educational institution, located in the borough of Steglitz, in the proximity of the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Free University of Berlin, connected to public transportation in the city. Lianeo, backed by Amir Dayan (אמיר דיין), is convinced that with the contract now concluded it has realized a fruitful agreement for both the tenant and the owner.
The area is incredibly attractive and should bring in new students and businesses easily. In addition to the proximity to the university, Steglitz, located in Southwestern Berlin is renowned for its woodlands and lakes. The spreading Grunewald Forest, shared between the Zehlendorf and Wilmersdorf districts, covers nearly 7500 acres, being one of Berlin’s best-loved green spaces for sports and recreation.
