Neecy J is a music artist from the DMV area in Washington, D.C. Her passion for music started at a young age. As a child, she would write songs that inspired her to pursue a career in music. Now, she has gained notable achievements through her talents.
Her single, “Big Tipper,” has been hitting the scene hard as it peaks at 172 on the DRT Global Charts and 47 on the DRT Global Independent Charts.
This success has fueled Neecy J to create more music to further her career, reach her goals, and inspire countless people with her craft.
“I am not your typical music artist. I am a former collegiate athlete and I also have a Master’s Degree in Communication and Leadership,” she said.
Moving Towards A Bigger Goal
Presently, Neecy J is planning to be at the top of her career. She envisions her music to be playing at every club and radio station. Ultimately, to have people know who Neecy J is.
To take a step forward towards that goal, Neecy J is currently working on an EP titled “Supa Natural” which she hopes to jumpstart her career.
“I want my EP to do big numbers and be the stepping stone to getting a record deal,” she said.
Yet releasing a successful EP and landing a record deal isn’t only the goal that Neecy J has in mind. She also has a long-term goal to help her career going through time.
Her key goals as an artist are to elevate her career to a point where she becomes well-known yet unique from the others in the industry.
Neecy J also works with a very supportive team to help her achieve the goals she made for herself. She shared that they get the job done, have her best interest in mind, and believe in her craft which makes her more capable to deal with challenges in her career.
Hoping To Inspire Others
Another goal that Neecy J has as an artist is to inspire young people to always follow their dreams and be passionate about whatever it is that they do.
“We all have different paths in life, however, it’s the drive, faith, and strong mental that can get them to where they want to be,” she said.
She added that she would also like to be perceived as a young black educated music artist who does not fit the stereotype of how rappers are thought of.
