When Joe Brown founded DearDoc, it was with a simple goal: to drive practice growth for doctors through innovative technology that allows them to provide better care to more people.
“We use artificial intelligence solutions to power all kinds of innovations to better serve doctors and their patients,” said Brown. “It’s something we take very seriously and are honored to be able to facilitate.”
In 2018, Brown noticed that his grandfather, a Boston-based dermatologist, was getting a lot of web traffic, but wasn’t able to convert it to real patients. Thanks to his background in software sales, and some digital marketing research, he found a solve.
“Most big companies had some kind of AI-enabled chat bot to capture customer information,” he said. “At the time, there wasn’t a healthcare-enabled solution, and that was sort of my ‘aha’ moment.”
Brown went on to develop and found DearDoc, which now offers a host of cloud-based software solutions to help reinvent the way new patients meet their doctor.
“We wanted to democratize AI and make it so that the same technology that works for large companies could also benefit doctors and dentists across the nation,” he said. “It’s been very exciting and a fun challenge to continue to innovate on new technologies with this much promise.”
Since 2018, DearDoc has grown to more than 100 employees and more than 2,000 clients, and has recently taken up residence in a new New York office space. As the company continues to grow, Brown remains focused on innovations that will serve healthcare practitioners as they care for their patients.
“We offer solutions for every step of the patient journey, and we want to continue to innovate on that,” he said. “It’s an exciting time for healthcare innovation and we’re really glad to be part of it.”
