Surviving and growing in any industry takes a lot of perseverance and hard work. There is no other way but shedding blood, sweat, and tears to reach goals. Taking shortcuts or cutting corners will not take an aspirant a long way. The long winding way to the top starts by finding a path through thick and thin. But once a person finds their way, the rise to the top can be enjoyable, though still not easy.
But before all of this can happen, a person has to discover who they are, aspirations, and eventual goals. By taking this deep dive of self-discovery, a person can be aware of what they want to do. Once a person identifies their true calling, they can define their goals. This takes them to the next level, choosing the path in life that leads to their goals.
And if a person is seeking fame and fortune, there is no better career than modeling. Just like every other industry, the world of modeling is also a world of complexities, part heartbreak, and part joy. It is a cutthroat world, full of opportunities that can take aspiring models around the world and bring them glory.
But it is also a world with a lot of competition. The glamour and fame attract thousands of aspirants chasing the same dream of becoming the next supermodel. There used to be a time when luck by itself could propel a model to the heights of fame. But with the industry being supersaturated today, it takes a lot of work and perseverance to get noticed.
In order to find success in the industry, it is better to know what the industry is and how it works. There are various paths available for aspirants to take in the modeling industry. For example, aspiring models can choose editorial, glamor, runway, fitness, promotional, or swimsuit & lingerie modeling, among others. Once a model has identified the type of modeling that is their calling, they can only achieve their goal.
For an outsider, modeling may seem like just posing and smiling, but as a new model gets to know the industry intimately, it becomes clear that there is more business involved than working. Many questions need answers to ensure their career is on the right track? Will the model represent themselves, or will they hire an agent? What qualification must an agent have? Will they hire an accountant, or will they manage their expenses? How many hours are they willing to work? Will they be fixing a price for modeling work, or will they bill by the hour? Are they using the modeling world to achieve other goals in different industries? The aspiring model can achieve their goals by finding answers to these questions and using that knowledge in conjunction with an open mind and a good work ethic.
One of the shining examples among many rising and established stars of the field is Agnes Artych. Born in Siedlce, Poland, on January 11, 1988, Agnes went through many trials and tribulations to finally succeed in her professional career. Belonging to a family with an educational background, Agnes grew up with her two sisters and mother. She gravitated towards artistic endeavors from her earlier childhood, specifically dance performance. Fascinated by dance performers performing in front of a huge audience, Agnes wanted to pursue this field as a profession. But her mother decided that before she could choose that career, she had to finish higher education in a contemporarily accepted field. This decision led Agnes to pursue and achieve a BA degree in the German Language from the public university in Kielce, Poland, the Jan Kochanowski University.
After completing her education following her mother’s wishes, Agnes Artych got back to pursuing her original goal. She started pursuing her BA in dance from the Kielce University of Arts and Science. Concurrently she started taking lessons at the Kielce Dance Theater. After completing her BA, she spent two years with the Baltic Dance Theater; in the process, Agnes gained accreditation from the Union of Artists of the Polish Stage in Acting and Dancing. This took her a step further towards her goal to become a star.
Around that time, Agnes was noticed by a representative of a modeling agency and was invited to work as a professional model in Istanbul. Working for clients in Istanbul that included primary clients like Perge Jewels and Burce Bekrek, she spent three months of her early career there. On her return to Poland, now as an established model, Agnes Artych became the premier representative for the 2014 Polish Fashion Week. In the same year, she got featured on the cover of the prestigious Hebe fashion magazine and won the Bell Cosmetics Beauty Pageant.
Agnes took her next step towards fame and glory to New York, signing up with ADAM Models NYC. She made her mark in the modeling world by partnering with famous German photographer Marc Erwin Babej in NY Fashion Week 14 times. She also worked on many other fashion projects like Afrika, Mischilinge, Yesterday – Tomorrow, etc.
Driven by her unquenchable thirst for success and fame, Agnes decided to make her entry into the film and television industry. Over time she has been cast in widely known short and featured films such as Unfettered, First Glance, Points, R BnB, and the Swan Way. She has also appeared in popular TV shows such as Lipstick Traces and Halston.
