Calvin Ross from Tennessee is sure to become a huge hit someday. He is an R&B musician as well as producer. Calvin started his music career when he was 17 years old. He lived in Detroit for six years, and when he moved back to Tennessee when he was 17, he started creating his own music.
His interest in music inspired him to buy a place where he could create some music. And he bought his friend’s set up for $100. Then he started making music on Fruity Loops. He figured out that he could sing and create his beat and record in the setup. So he started producing music. Since then, Calvin Ross has not looked back.
He went ahead and won the showcase at P. Diddy’s house. Moreover, he got to meet with an A&R at Def Jam Recordings “Polo”. It is here that he gained confidence in his abilities and started pursuing his musical career more seriously.
Calvin Ross is more focused on urban R&B music. His idols are Michael Jackson, Usher, Ginuwine, and R.Kelly. He lived in an area where the crime was rampant. His neighborhood wasn’t safe and sound, so he takes inspiration from his struggles and surroundings as he creates music.
He expressed that, whenever someone genuinely compliments him on his music, he is grateful to them. It is the best feeling in the world to get such an appreciation. Calvin’s dream is to be on the top of the Billboard, that’s where he wants to reach with his music.
The way he is going, he can reach his goal soon. Until now, he has opened for Urban Mystic, Avant, Snootie Wild, YFN Lucci, Yung Bleu, and Bando Jonez.
