Most small and independent artists dream of being signed to a big-name music label. However, nowadays the opportunities for independent labels and artists have been increasing at a rapid pace. Independent artists and labels are now able to rival those on the top of the music industry. California artist Scrillz and his partnership with independent label Big Smokey Productions are hoping to go the distance and do just that.
Scrillz fell in love with music at a young age after watching his older brother and cousin make tunes, and tried it out for himself. Since then, Scrillz has been dedicated to his craft, refining his skillset and releasing singles. Though he was able to begin building a modest fan-base through his own efforts, the introduction of Big Smokey Productions has helped Scrillz grow faster than ever before.
Scrillz has now grown his social media presence to over 20,000 followers on instagram alone, and is getting bigger and better opportunities to work with big artists and get exposure to key elements in the industry. He’s currently working on a single with big reggae artist Fiji, and is working on a project filled with a variety of good vibe island music. With more opportunities in his future, there is no doubt that Scrillz will begin to rise in the industry.
