Coronavirus has changed the way we buy things. Markets are fast adapting to the changing world. Stores are shutting and a few are opening with limited timings. ‘Best Buy’ isn’t any exception to the case.
It has been functioning with Curbside delivery over the past few days. But now two stores of Fort Wayne are all set to open for customers to walk in.
These stores would be accessible on an appointment basis. These two stores are among the selected few stores that would be open in the country. With an appointment, a customer would be allowed to interact with the team members. With this appointment they will be given a time slot to interact with Geek Squad or Best Buy team members. The employees would be able to login to the website through the HR portal of Best Buy. Once logged in, they will further be able to assist with requirements of the customers.
The service is available in 600 stores across the country. According to the company, safety is their prime concern. They’ve spoken about the various safety measures taken by the company.
The safety measures include gloves and masks. These will be given to the employees by the company. The company has also invested in technology. Best Buy has come up with an app exclusively for safety.
This app is being used by the employees. The app keeps track of the health of working employees. Before and after doing a shift it is mandatory for all the employees to take a health check.
Store sanitation before and after the appointment and social distancing measures are other mandatory features of this appointment. This appointment can be taken from the Chat option on the company’s website.
