Harley Cannard’s entrepreneurial journey stemmed from a cartoon he watched at 7 years old. As a child Harley had to learn to be street smart, at a young age of 6 he was a full-time carer for his mother. Harley had to cook, clean, and was homeschooled by his older sister. It wasn’t until he watched a cartoon show on TV where a character was selling homemade lemonade from a cart. Harley had a thought. What if I can help make some money from making lemonade.
He pitched his business idea to his sister asking where he could get lemons from and in turn she gave him oranges.
He began juicing them and made a few dollars from the front of their government housing estate.
When asked what did you spend the money on “ I think I bought lollies at the time, To be honest, we often found our self without money and food so lollies was a luxury”
Nowadays Harley is no stranger to business. He has quickly risen to global success as an industry titan in e-commerce.
He’s gone from pitching lemonade to his sister to consulting to some of the worlds leading e-commerce brands charging up to $75,000.
He is the Co-founder of Amz Automation Australia and In his first year of business Harley was invited by Forbes as a Forbes Agency Council Member, a truly remarkable achievement for such a young entrepreneur.
‘Business is going well we are now established and have a team of managers that report to my self and the other Co-Founder daily.’
Now Mr Cannard is able to leverage his time better so he can focus on other growth areas in business by consulting with some pretty large e-commerce brands, entrepreneurs, media personalities.

What asked about what makes e-commerce successful- ‘It’s simply all about supply and demand.’
Mr Cannard mentioned that he ecently ran a case study to test this supply and demand theory to prove to people how easy it really is to have success online. ‘From my laptop one morning I decided to set up a landing page selling face guards. My initial outlay was only $200 and within my first week, I was making $1000 a day. Often I would wake up to $2000 in sales and now I make up to $3000 a day from this one product.’
Life hasn’t always been this easy for Mr Cannard, growing up in commission housing, in and out of foster care, caring for his sick mother, and having to be homeschooled definitely taught Harley some valuable lessons.
‘I’ve been through a lot that has made me who I am today. I’m truly grateful for my humble beginnings’.
Now Harley consults to some of the most influential brands globally, ‘I negotiate deals worth $75,000 which is a pretty good payday. I now make more money in a weekend than some people make in a year. I’ve traveled the world, built my perfect home. Now I have the best of both worlds spending my time between two houses one overlooking the beach and our new home in my small country town.’
Next Steps
Mr Cannard’s next mission is building a technology college in the slums of Pakistan for dis-advantaged and poverty kids. living in poverty.
‘We will have a safe place, full of technology, computers, teachers, clean water, Internet and a safe and enjoyable learning facility that kids can come in and learn life skills and how to use technology online. I really want to give back to the community and create an impact globally so this is in the pipeline.’
By being able to grow my business and have these systems in place I’m able to focus on more community projects.
Harley Cannard is now seeking opportunities to engage in public speaking, touring, and also live events.
“I feel like I have so many valuable life lessons, from humble beginnings to where I am now, I feel that a lot of disadvantaged kids and young entrepreneurs could really take some lessons from my experiences”.
