Founder of “The Light of Healing” and Reiki Master, Mariia Tsegelnyk, highlights “perseverance” as her secret to success
One can hardly overlook the level of determination and perseverance showed by Mariia Tsegelnyk since she ventured into wellness and healing. As a Ukrainian immigrant, one of the major obstacles she faced was expressing herself. Mariia got into the United States in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Business Management and almost immediately settled in working in Hospitality and Restaurant Business. However, she felt something was missing and switched to yoga, especially the spiritual aspect of it, to teach as many people as possible the art of BODY MOVEMENT AND self-healing. Mariia became very successful as a yoga teacher in little time until life happened.
Mariia’s life took a 180-degree turn in 2014 when she got sick with mysterious disease and two years later it was discovered that she had contracted Lyme Disease that has been left undiagnosed and untreated for two years. “Nobody knew what was going on with me. I couldn’t walk, move, speak, think (my brain was inflamed), couldn’t listen to any sounds that were louder than a whisper, as it would hurt my ears, I was bedbound, my body was aching in pain, because every organ was affected by infection,” Mariia said.
Coming out of such a disaster was not just a miracle to the world, especially as doctors DID NOT HAVE MUCH HOPE FOR HER TO GO BACK TO NORMAL LIFE AND THEY SAID: “WE DON’T KNOW WHERE YOUR CARDS WILL FALL. THE DAMAGE TO YOUR BODY HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE. WE ARE JUST DOING THE BEST WE CAN.” However, Mariia put a twist to it by practically self-healing after discovering Energy Healing. “I knew there is a way. A way to heal myself, to have a good life and everything I desired: great health, an amazing relationship, and a career that I am passionate about. At that moment I just had to find an answer. And I did. I have discovered the power of Energy Healing and our Unconscious Mind,” Mariia said.
Mariia found ENERGY healing and decided to reach out to others in a similar situation. However, it did not go as expected as HER INTENTION TO BECOME AN ENERGY HEALING TEACHER was rejected BY THE SCHOOL due to her accent. Mariia’s perseverance and determination came to bear again. She did not let other people’s opinion to define her path and instead, she took the bulls by the horns and was determined to overcome the challenges.
When asked about her secret to success, Mariia said, “It may sound cliché, but this is the real reason why successful people are successful. It is because they never give up! Yes, when you are building the life of your dreams you will have those days when you just want to quit. On those days remember: Rest, but don’t quit. Take a break, recharge yourself. And keep moving forward.”
