Many previous researches have suggested that consuming less coffee is safe to keep the heart healthy. But there is a new study conducted by the British Heart Foundation (BHF), which says drinking 25 cups of coffee in a day is safe for heart’s health.
According to earlier studies, consuming so much coffee makes arteries stiffen. And it also increases the blood pressure, which finally results in stroke and heart failure. Hence the coffee drinkers were suggested to reduce the number of coffee cups for a day. Espresso Gurus tells a different kind of coffee recipe to make it tastier and healthy.
Researchers from the Queen Mary University of London have conducted the study over 8000 people in the UK. And the study finds that whether the people drink 5 cups in a day or 25 cups of coffee in a day, it leaves no worse effect on heart arteries. The study was funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and one report of the research was presented to the British Cardiovascular Society Conference in Manchester.
The researchers divided 8000 people into three groups. The first group was of those who drink only one cup of coffee in a day. In the second group, people who drink up to three cups in a day. And the last group was of those people who drink more than three cups of coffee in a day. The average numbers of coffee cups for the people in the group was five cups, but some people drank up to 25 cups in a day.
After some time, all the participants were called for MRI scans and pulse wave test. The result of the test was similar for all the participants. Arteries health of 25 cups of coffee drinkers was the same as those who drink five cups of coffee in a day.
