Running an entertainment and business law firm leaves the door open for an owner to connect with a wide range of clients. Andrew Covington has the privilege of owning such a company, and it points to his own life experience as the critical factor in connecting with his clients. He describes how he succeeds as an entrepreneur attorney in a recent interview saying, “What separates me from my competitors in the Law field is that my clients can relate to me on a personal level. I have been involved in the music industry as an artist, so I know the ups and down of being an artist. I have a passion to make sure my clients get the best outcome. I have also done a wide variety of business, so I have hands on personal experience with different situations.”
Andrew got his start in law after failed careers in athletics and music. This experience is what lead to his present opportunities. “It was a process of trials and tribulations. I had to go through troubling experiences at other things in life I thought I wanted to do to really figure out what my purpose was,” the entrepreneur said. His ability to help people understand their situations and assist them in landing their desired deals is the most rewarding part of the job for Andrew.
Finally, Andrew Covington attributes his current mindset to his experiences as well. “My advancement in the professional world was challenging due to racial micro- aggressions in the professional world. There weren’t many people willing to guide me on my journey of starting my own practice. This is what gave me a strong sense of philanthropy and public service.”
