Chris Robinson is a sneaker hunter, collector, and an entrepreneur. He succeeds in life and even if the odds were not always in his favour, Chris believed in himself and in his dream.
Chris has over 3000 pairs of sneakers and the number are still growing. He likes to collect all kinds of sneakers, from samples to sophisticated and expensive, the rage is various. Chris Robinson bought his first pair of sneakers when he was 14, from his first pay-check. As a child, he did not embrace the opportunity of having what he always wanted. This is the main reason why Chris Robinson started to love and to develop a passion for fashion.
It took a lot of hard work, standing in lines, and making the right connections to get here. Chris Robinson was determined to prove that he is capable of making his dream come true, even if there were people who doubt him. Chris believes in the famous quote “Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”
This is how he managed to become an entrepreneur as well, not only a sneakers collector. In 2007 he opened his first sneakers store which was closed in 2009. Only a few years later, in 2011 he teamed up with the famous @deeboks the number 1 Reebok collector and together they remodeled the store form the ground up.
It is interesting to hear from Chris what the biggest lesson of his life was. We had the chance to ask him a few questions, see below what he said:
“The biggest lesson I have learned is that regardless of where you come from, or what obstacles you have to overcome you must always rely on yourself to get the job done. While it’s nice to have support from my friends and family I have come to realize that it is up to me to be the leader in my own success.”
With a successful business running up, Chris is donating regularly huge amounts to charities and hospitals by selling famous sneakers at auctions. Just to have a better idea about this world Chris Robinson has an amazing story reveal. Bought his third pair of FLOMS (collaboration with Futura out of NYC) for 7 grand. Travis Scott bought purchased form Project Blitz in LA a wore them on his Instagram story. The hype and therefore the demand and value soon after skyrocketed and Chris sold one of his three pairs for $50 grand.
Recently picked up a pair of Louis Vuitton sneakers (Virgil Collabs) at a retail of $9.2k that light up in sync and can be controlled by your phone. There’s only 28 pairs out there. Lil Uzi and Kim Kardashian have them.
It is truly impressive to understand the world of fashion and the reality of buying the right thing at the right time. If you would like to see more of his collection, follow Chris Robinson on Instagram @sbcollector or on Facebook and you will be amazed by his incredible collection.
To sum up, we have something to learn from his story. Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and of course, if you work hard and smart.
