He is considered as the men’s best starting point guard who has so far in his basketball career achieved innumerable accolades.
It is so surreal to know about how young talents in the world of sports have been racing ahead many, even ahead of the established names of the industry. This proves the passion and the determination with which they work to strengthen their foundation in the games and play like a winner with only one aim in mind and that is to play better than the last game and stand out from the rest. Kevin Major from the Bronx has been one amongst these young hoopsters who believed he could and so did he.
The only thing Kevin believes has made him grow as an individual is the game of basketball, around whom he spent almost all his childhood and became the passionate player he is today. Things never came easy to him as he and his two sisters were raised by a single parent, their mother and since a very early age, this youngster understood that success can never come without hard work. Keeping this in mind, he kept working harder and harder to improve upon his game and became a well-known college basketball player as well, becoming a part of the famous Penn State Wilkes Barre basketball team. He confesses that when he is not around his family, he is either in college or in training to better himself as a player.
Currently, Kevin Major and Men’s Nittany Lions are looking forward to doing something bigger rather than just winning the games and the awards. From this October, Kevin’s coach Leshawn Hammett and the crew are preparing hard for the big stage nationals in March. Kevin’s passion for basketball is so deep and pure that right now he is not only preparing for the upcoming games but also thinking way ahead and looking past the regular season so that hopefully he can emerge as a professional basketball player.
The young hoopster is seen as the most competent and skilled men’s starting point guard in the country. In the past, Kevin has played for former University of Kentucky Head coach, Billy Gillispie and showed his prowess on big time stages. Kevin knows the talent he possesses and hence is confident that he can become the professional player he desires to be.
A major achievement of his career was when Kevin scored 50 points in the game against John F Kennedy High School. He has been a lead scorer of the team at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy, Delafield Wisconsin and became a 2-star recruit nationally.
Kevin wants to dedicate this season to his coach Leshawn Hammett’s father Leroy Hammett, who lost his life due to COVID-19. He also believes that he is there in spirit with the team and motivates all to be their best versions in the game.
