Top Black female creator and entrepreneur Charlene Izere is known widely for her impact in the black community and has earned massive success through all her ventures.
The closer we pay attention to those around us, the more we find leaders who are driven by passion, a strong mental attitude, and a desire to to create something of their own. All these leaders push past boundaries to not only create successful careers for themselves, but also become disrupters in their industries as they contribute to impacting the lives of others. As the world undergoes many confrontational changes, we are noticing many female entrepreneurs across the world come to the forefront of many industries and making a lot of buzz.
We had the privilege of learning about one high-performing woman entrepreneur, Charlene Izere. Through her passion and noble mission, she has been making every possible effort to help black women create more opportunities for themselves as a successful black woman, putting all past societal beliefs behind them.
It is said that ones life journey is never an easy one; Charlene too had her share of struggles throughout her life, from the moment she was born in war-torn Rwanda. Her family then relocated to the US to start a new life however, they knew they had nothing at hand and had to rebuild their lives from scratch. All of these experiences helped Charlene to know and understand certain values, virtues and learnings in life from a very young age, which she otherwise may have never learned. The ups and downs that Charlene faced with her family turned her into a compassionate individual, traits which take her far in her current business ventures.
At an early age, Charlene began working in Boston soon after graduating from university. However, living in Boston came with many high living costs, and in order to support herself, she had to work multiple jobs just to meet ends. Through this, Charlene developed a strong mental attitude and decided to work several shifts, doing different jobs and as a result she learned how to become more resilient in life and adapt to any situation life presents to her.
One of Charlene’s earliest jobs was working as a fitness coach, where she learned the ins and outs of running a business and how to scale successfully. This gave her the confidence needed to start something of her own and inch closer and closer to her dreams and aspirations. Being a black woman, Charlene faced a multitude of hurdles, but that didn’t stop her from building her empire and lasting legacy.
All of these challenges have thrust her forward into the entrepreneurial world, where today Charlene runs three successful businesses as a black luxe creator. She is the CEO of Melanin and Money, a venture that is committed to building empires led by Black women. Soulful Systems is a boutique online business management agency that supports high-level entrepreneurs with sustainable systems, and her third venture is Wellness Delivered, fast rising high as a self-care and community-care brand.
