@Newsopreneur started as an experiment for his book “100k followers on 100 days”. The 17 year old, Harsh Vardhan Sharma (@the.real.harsh) wrote a book and challenged himself to gain 100k followers in 100 days. What started as an experiment is now going to be the next big revolution in the news industry.
The news page, newsopreneur posts news summary in form of info graphics. Along with the news, they also came up with a unique concept where in, along with the captions of each post, they write 100-200 word articles explaining “the lessons to be learned” from the respective news.
The page works around the concept of “why just watch news when you can learn from it.”
The 17 year old also owns a Digital Ad-agency named “LSTmedia.net” where he has over a 100 clients. He also managed to make over $20 million in sales for clients.
According to Harsh, “I never took Newsopreneur seriously as a business but more as my personal hobby. But due to a controversial post, Instagram disabled Newsopreneur. What we faced next was unprecedented. I got over 5000+ mails, whatsapp messages, DM’s on my personal account @the.real.harsh. People went crazy and kept asking me about @newsopreneur”
“I quickly realized that I had to get the page back because the response was overwhelming. After that incident in I shifted my whole focus on making newsopreneur a real business rather than just a hobby.” He further added
It is a new concept in the news industry. Often, we miss news because we fail to understand what they are trying to convey to us. The industry is really quick to move from one topic to the other so it is impossible to explain everything in detail.
Taking advantage of this fact, newsopreneur came up with the unique idea of helping people understand and apply the information of news and hence “turning news into knowledge”
Newsopreneur is soon going to launch its own App, harsh said he’s targeting to get 1 million App downloads by the end of 2021.
Newsopreneur also claims that by the end of 2021 the page will have more than 2 million followers.
Along with this, they will also start newsopreneur Global targeting USA, to change the way world consumes News.
