His commitment, determination and passion have led him to the forefront of the fashion industry as one of the fashion icons.
Isn’t it amazing to know and learn about all those people who have shown what true passion and resilience is when it comes to creating their unique niche in their respective fields? Well, knowing about these individuals only inspire and instill more hope in others to believe in their dreams and make it through the process to reach the position and status they wish to earn in their careers. We came across one such high-performing and passionate individual, who eats sleeps and breathes fashion; he is Andy Koli Polo, aka Andy Winner.
This young man was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and then moved to Belgium at a very early age. Initially, he studied in a law school in Poland at the University of Wroclaw. Later, Andy Winner shifted to the US at the age of 21, where he attended Montgomery College for two years in Business administration. Andy Winner always showed a great inclination towards fashion, photography and travelling. For this passion, he wished to push his limits and do every bit to do something in that direction and create his unique niche and that’s what he did.
Today, he has an experience of travelling over 40 countries and that is how he learned about different fashion styles from different cultures. Speaking about his hometown Kinshasa in DR Congo, Andy Winner says, “Fashion is like a religion in my hometown, where everyone likes to look good and be high on their fashion game. However, not everyone has had the opportunity to afford or buy expensive clothes or even feed the family,”. This made Andy Winner feel to work towards impacting the younger generation and make them believe that people do not need to be trendy to look fashionable or buy expensive clothes to get recognized.
He believes that everyone can create their own unique style and only focus on what they are comfortable in. Today, Andy Winner also works at Bombardier as a machine operator and simultaneously also tries to create a very strong community of bloggers, stylists and models in Montreal, who can come together and create nice fashion contents. On weekends, when he’s not travelling, Andy Winner collaborates with upcoming photographers and models and does photoshoots.
People love to take advice from him for his unique fashion sense and that’s how some have even updated their closets. Not just that, Andy Winner has also been invited to many fashion shows like NYC Fashion Week, LAFW and DCFW.
