Aaron is passionate about real estate, especially helping others become successful in the space. Aaron has three tips he’d like to share on how you can start your own real estate brokerage business.
Be well capitalized
Make sure that you are well capitalized and funded. Most Brokerages go under because they become money pits, especially in the beginning. Agents and operating really any business are going to come with expenses. If you don’t have access to necessary capital to fund a real estate brokerage, I would recommend putting a plan in place to make sure you can.
Recruit the right talent
Make sure you have the right people, It is all about people and processes. Every agent has to be trainable and motivated to grow and evolve as a professional and person. The environment that you create and the people that you recruit will make or break your Brokerages success in the marketplace. The Brokerage represents its agents and the agents represent the Brokerage, if you have bad agents you have a bad brokerage.
What is your Value Proposition
What is your value proposition that makes you different from the competition in their market? You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to have a unique value proposition, but you have to have one. It can be as simple as the experience that you bring for buyers and sellers, or the process your agents follow that is different from the rest. Whatever it is, it has to be valuable and considerable in the marketplace for agents to be hired. The clearer you can get with your message and value proposition, the better your Brokerage and agents will be.
