The Florida-based Americans for Prosperity recently launched its latest campaign on Monday supporting the provision for Education Scholarship Accounts meant for every student in the state. A new digital and television ad released by the group brings together quotes acquired from famous political leaders.
The first politician featured in the ad includes Condoleezza Rice, the Republic Secretary of State, closely followed by Barack Obama, the Democratic Presiden. Both of them act as the voice for minorities. Also appearing in the video is Jeb Bush, the Governor of Florida who has kept along with his involvement in a movement for school reformation.
The video ends with a message for the viewers to get in touch with the lawmakers while supporting the creation of more scholarships. Skylar Zander, the AFP-FL State Director stated that the team is committed towards working with everyone who believes in improving the current status quo for education. He also stated that the ZIP code & income of an individual should never determine the overall education outcome.
This campaign arrives as the advocates for school choice celebrate arrival of the administration that supports voice for programs with education opportunities. Ron DeSantis, the Governor in February unveiled the proposal “Equal Opportunity Scholarships”. The proposal provides $100 million meant for the students that wish to attend the charter or private schools.
