Chicago native R&B artist BJRNCK returned to the spotlight with a new video for her song “Gennae.” The song has been receiving positive feedback ever since its release.
BJRNCK’s style takes us back to the golden age of the genre. Inspired by the likes of Beyonce and Usher among others, her sound has allowed her to gain traction quickly. One of her main focuses is her lyrics and the meaning behind her songs. She often pours her heart into tracks, hoping to be able to connect with listeners and let them know they aren’t alone in what they are struggling with.
For her, writing music is very therapeutic. She said, “Personally it’s hard for me to talk about things sometimes so I put it in a song. All of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts put into a song. I hope that whoever is listening possibly going through the same things can relate and feel some sense of relief knowing they’re not the only one and they can get through it.”
BJRNCK has been working hard on a new EP which will be called “Love Language.” The project will focus on the ups and downs in a relationship and how she expresses her love through different ways. The release date is set for the fall of 2020. The EP will pave the way for BJRNCK’s future.
