Brad’s first entry into the real estate industry was in 1998 when he became a loan officer. Realizing the value he could bring to customers in helping them make one of life’s biggest choices, he started his first business as a mortgage broker in 1999 and then got his real estate license shortly thereafter in 2000. In 2001, he started his second business which is now known as Utah’s Best Real Estate Group as a real estate broker, where he helps buyers and sellers succeed in real estate. In 2003, he created a credit repair company to help people live the American dream by getting a mortgage and buying their first home, and in 2005 he started a home-flipping business which quickly became the largest foreclosure buying company in Utah, flipping more than 150 homes per year.
In 2008, he founded his first vacation rental company which is now known as Utah’s Best Vacation Rentals, a short-term vacation rental company that has exploded across the entire state of Utah and provides vacationers with affordable prices on incredible homes, while giving homeowners a valuable investment and better quality of life.
In 2010, he founded Real Estate Foreclosure Specialists which is now Utah’s Best Foreclosure Specialists, where he currently serves as the President, overseeing the entire process from purchasing and remodeling to listing homes using market research and his years of experience to ensure excellent returns (ROIs have averaged 49.9% YOY).
Brad’s advice is to do your research and create a very clear vision of what you want to accomplish. Surround yourself with like-minded people who buy into your vision and want to help you build something special. Make sure you dot the I’s and cross the T’s with accounting, hiring, workforce services, HR, etc., so you fully understand how challenging it is to start a business and start making a lot of money. Find a mentor or multiple mentors who have already accomplished what you are wanting to accomplish. Invest in yourself, build your brand, and continue working on being the best version of yourself, avoiding addictions, negative people, and things that deter you from reaching your goals.
Brad has learned multiple key elements of all facets of his business in Real Estate, Mortgage and Finance, Credit and Repair, Home Flipping, Home and Land Development, Construction and Floor Plans, Remodeling and Home Improvement, Property Management, and has become a Vacation Rental Expert. With all of this experience and the desire he had to hold multiple licenses in all these fields, Brad has been able to gain more experience than most and have multiple streams of income through diverse yet complementary businesses.
