One impressive quality trait about this young man is that he actually has achieved all of his successes independently; and he (rightfully so) is certainly proud of that.
But unlike the sea of SoundCloud rappers on every corner, P Double is a super down to earth person with a determined head on his shoulders.
He truly understand that using a network to push music organically is one of the best methods of being heard and getting noticed in the music industry.
His successes certainly don’t stop him from staying humble to himself; but his grind and hustle bleeds into the lyrics he writes and tracks he makes:
“The actual process of creating music is still one of the most intriguing aspects of this journey. It’s never quite the same and it’s ever evolving. I’m not an artist that goes into the studio, freestyles over beats, and walks away with 10 songs in a session. I really spend a lot of time with my pen, my thoughts, my message, character development, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve definitely had songs come to me in minutes time, but for the most part, I really take my time with it.”
Is what he had to say when we asked him about how he goes about getting himself in to a creative mood.
P Double is very much a humble person; when asked about how he would advise any young musicians in the space, he was calm and collected when expressing to us that people need to get more in tune with themselves and focus on what they want bring to the space instead of copying trends.
That truly is something refreshing to hear in this day and age where copy-cat media seems to be a viral trend.
