As a person in business, there might have been many times when you must have thought about starting a new business – but you hesitate because you are struggling to let go of the attachment with your current business.
This can be a tough decision to make, especially when your current company is providing you with significant profit. Although nothing is stopping you from starting a new business while keeping a hold on your first one, you shudder at the idea of thinking how difficult it must be to handle more than one business.
Fortunately, there is always a way around these kinds of problems – and business leaders like Kyle Noonan have found the answer.
As a highly acclaimed American entrepreneur, restauranteur, and T.V personality, Kyle Noona is the co-founder and CEO of the prestigious FreeRange Concepts – a restaurant development firm based in Dallas that specializes in creating unique restaurant concepts.
They had set up many ventures over the years, starting from ‘Bowl & Barrel’, a restaurant with a bowling alley and a full-service American tavern and house-made specialties by Chef Sharon Hage. The restaurant was first launched in Dallas and then later in San Antonio and Houston.
After finding success from that, Noonan decided to set up another restaurant business via FreeRange Concepts called ‘Mutts Canine Cantina’ in Fort Worth and Dallas. This is a restaurant with an off-leash dog park made especially for dog lovers. This way, people can play in the off-leash park or enjoy their time at the beer garden.
One of his other very successful ventures was ‘The Rustic,’ which was launched in partnership with Grammy-nominated country music artist Pat Green. It is a full-service restaurant with live music, and you can find its location at Houston Downtown, Houston Galleria, and San Antonio.
Starting from just employees, the FreeRange Concepts gathered up more than 1000 employees in just four years. Many have been amazed at how he has successfully managed so many businesses – and to that, Noonan has shared some of his business skills with the world.
Using Same Space to Run Multiple Businesses
Having a central location for all your businesses can help save up on resources since they can be shared between the companies. Plus, this way, you can easily be involved in both of your ventures, such as on-site needs or meetings.
Moreover, having a central location can help you get more things done on time. Your staff members can easily interact with you, and even you can quickly assist them whenever your input is needed in areas like production or marketing.
Focus on Prioritizing
Many will tell you that finding the time to handle more than one business is a major struggle – but those who actually own many successful businesses would say otherwise.
Analyzing data of all your companies from time to time can help you address an impending issue before it becomes a huge problem. As long as you are focused, determined, and have prioritized what parts of your company need the most attention, handling several businesses will never be a burden you can’t carry.
