Clark Williams to retire into the fashion industry
Social media celebrity and innovator, Clark Williams, otherwise known as OprahSide, announces plans to retire into fashion after the launch of Likemnds
Clark Williams is popularly known as OprahSide, especially on the internet, where he has made his mark with his amazing innovation. Clark ventured into the fashion industry in 2019 when he launched his clothing brand named Likemnds. More than just a fashion brand, the relatively new player in the fashion industry was founded to cause a major disruption in the industry’s urban community by providing consumers with fantastic designs and pieces of streetwear fashion. However, Clark has taken the online world by storm after indicating a possible retirement into the fashion world.
“In 2019 I made a clothing brand, (Likemnds) not to be confused with YouTube merchandise. Clothing design and creation is what I want to do with the rest of my life, during and after youtube. My clothing brand dropped 2 seasons last year (June and December) and looks to grow and expand into a major streetwear name over the next few years,” said Clark Williams.
According to report published Liam O’Connell on January 21, 2020, the value of the global apparel market is projected to grow from 1.3 trillion U.S. dollars in 2015 to about over 1.5 trillion dollars in 2020. The figures show an increase in the demand the demand for clothing and shoes across the world. The three regions of the world with the largest apparel markets are the 28 member states of the European Union, China, and of course, the United States. One market that seems to have been underserved over the years is the streetwear sector. While several brands have come into the market to meet the diverse needs of consumers, there is still a lot of way to go in filling this gap. This is where Clark Williams is looking to change the narrative with Likemnds.
“I want to be one of the biggest fashion designers in the world one day. With clothing that lives on far past my time on earth,” said Clark Williams, founder of Likemnds.
Likemnds already achieved remarkable success in just about a year of being in the industry, considering the achievements of the first two seasons. According to Clark, the success of season 1 and 2 of Likemnds motivate to do even more. Therefore, it is not surprising that the popular internet celebrity is looking to retire as a major fashion designer after leaving the online world.
