For those who are unfamiliar with your music, how would you describe your sound?
In 2017 I said my sound was TRAP&B. Somebody rerocked my idea so I never pushed that. But that’s what I call it. I’m the love child of Trap and R&B. No cap.
Where or who do you go to for creativity and inspiration?
I just let my soul flow. Been through a lot. It ain’t hard to be 100. I don’t need inspiration, just a good beat and my preferred drugs.
How do you balance being a mom and artist?
There’s no balance. I’m a mom first. My music is therapy and like a child to me. My kids know the words to the majority of my songs haha, they pick beats , they make TikTok routines for me. We all one. That’s another thing I love about Ethika, when they signed me they gave me a huge bag of gear for all 3 of my kids. I press the issue about my kids lol. If I’m moving it’s for them. All moves I make are for the better of their future. I’m glad how Ethika noticed I’m a whole package deal.
How does it feel to be at the forefront of women dominating the hip-hop scene?
It feels great. I still got a long way to go. I’m trying to change the scene. I’m not the typical female rapper. I really spit.
Do you have any new music in the works that your fans can expect from you?
In 3 weeks I recorded 17 new songs with Ethika on all Ethika beats. We literally have the hottest producers on the team. I have I believe 5 tracks produced by Matt Cook , the ceo of Ethika. Big Grammy Music on the way. That’s all I can say. Coming ASAP.
In terms of longevity, what are some of your short-term and long-term goals?
Short term? Honestly just live a healthier lifestyle. Maybe go vegan, introduce my kids into a vegan life. Long term, stay paid for ever.
