Father’s Day is coming up! Sure, June may seem far away, but as the weather warms up and our kids lose the activity of the school day, our time becomes more limited, so knocking off “get Father’s Day gift” off our checklist isn’t a bad idea. This last year was a doozy, and all parents, mothers, and fathers had to step up in ways we probably never could have imagined. So, let’s make this Father’s Days extra special for Dear Old Dad.
Massage Treatment
Men love massages just as much as the next person, so why not get him a gift certificate at a local spa or massage center. Of course, this is dependent on people’s comfort level with an intimate activity like a massage during a pandemic. The establishments are open, though, and seeing less traffic than non-pandemic times, so, if you think the father in your life is comfortable, it’s a good idea to support them, so they remain open.
Pedicure
Getting your nails done is a treat for everyone! After the long winter, we all need a little pampering to shed our winter skin and get ready for exposed toes in the spring and summer. Consider getting Dad a gift card to a nail salon where he can get his toes done and beach ready!
Shop for Him
Some people love to shop, others not so much. If the Fathers in your life fall into the latter group, consider buying him a few things he may be missing in his wardrobe. If he doesn’t “need” anything, why not splurge on something he wouldn’t usually buy himself? Since most of us are still at home more than out these days, utilize the internet to find the perfect thing. Spring 2021 fashion has rolled out to buy online, so a new luxe keyring, a wallet, or mens designer t-shirts are all fabulous ideas he’d be sure to love.
Personalize It!
There are tons of personalization shops out there nowadays, and it’s certainly on trend to buy such gifts. Maybe your father has a hobby that you could personalize one of the accessories he uses for that. You can personalize anything from golf balls and bags to a throw blanket. If you’re shopping for a father who’s also a grandfather, these keepsakes are treasures he’ll enjoy looking at and using for many years to come.
Digital Photo Frames
If you want to take the personalization to an elevated level, consider purchasing a digital frame and upload some favorite photos of your family together. You can enjoy some quality time together as you show him how to upload more to the photo collection. These frames are an ideal gift because they don’t take up the space of 100 picture frames but can store even more photos than that. They’re a decorating trend that’s sure to stick around too, so they will use it for a long time.
Make Him a Meal
Many people still aren’t comfortable gathering quite yet, which is understandable. Sometimes, the best gift is an act of service. Why not make them a healthy meal at home that the entire household can enjoy. The weather is warmer, and it could be safe to gather a few out-of-household family members outdoors for a Fathers Day picnic in the yard. You could add some fun outdoor activities like croquet or badminton, which are both interactive, but there isn’t much close contact between teammates or opposing players.
Make a Donation
With so much going on in the world these days, we all want to know how we can help. Most of us are lucky to have everything that we want or need. If your father is the charitable type, consider donating in his name to organizations that could use the help.
There’s so much to celebrate this year, the most important of which is health and family. Whichever gift you choose, the most important thing you can do is make sure all the fathers in your life understand just how much they are loved and what an impact they make in our lives. Happy Fathers Day!
