Many people who have found success over the years didn’t always have it easy. Highlyte is a rapper from Long Island, New York, recently becoming a known name in the music industry. Even though his success looks to be prominent, it wasn’t always like that, as he’s had to work to get where he is now.
Highlyte always knew that he wanted to do something big in life when he decided to pursue rap at the age of 14. Five years later, the rapper suffered a vital gunshot wound which made him fight his life. During this time, Highlyte said that he wrote a lot about death since it was so near to him.
Months after the incident, Highlyte ended up making a miraculous recovery which made him appreciate life more. This new chance lit a fire under the rapper, which has motivated him to become the person he wanted to be when he was 14. With a successful new release out on all music platforms, Highlyte is ready for his next big move.
