Even before we took to the safety of our own homes artist Rony has been maximizing his time indoors as he creates music in his bedroom. “I just invested in myself and made my own recording studio in my house, I also don’t have to spend a lot of money on studio time either”. Even started up my own record label RRR Records”, says Rony.
Combining Talent And Athleticism
Rony grew up in Mission Viejo, California, but now lives in Portland, Oregon. He was about 13 years-old when he discovered his passion for music. Rony would learn to play the clarinet in middle school. But, his real passion came for rapping and performing live. Working on his craft, Rony would freestyle over Industry beats and learn to write lyrics. Growing up, Rony was very active in sports. He would later receive a black belt in Taekwondo, and earn the nickname ‘Rony Buckets’, from his high school basketball coach. Nonetheless, Rony would always daydream about making music, and performing in front of thousands of people. All roads would always lead back to music. Rony released his debut single “Diamond On My Neck” on June 25, 2020. Since then he has consistently been making music for his fans.
“For a long time, all I wanted to do was make music. I was bored with life and working a 9-5. One day I said, fu*k it. I’m going to pursue my dreams, and so I did. After about a year of countless hours in my room, on my computer learning Logic Pro X, and teaching myself how to write over beats, I started to sing and rap over them,” he said.
Learning From People
“The best advice for somebody who wants to grow in any area of their life would be to learn from your OG’s, and all the folks who have done it before you. Always ask questions and never stop learning. And, don’t be afraid to fail, because the successful person continues to persevere”, Rony said.
As Rony’s music career grows, he is now more motivated than ever. Rony is set to release new single “Invincible”, which he shared a preview of the track via his Instagram. Keep an eye out for Rony, as he dominates the music industry, and earns the nickname “Mr. Portland”.
