As a woman and a mother to two young daughters, Dr. Alexis Parcells is extremely passionate about advocating for women’s health and empowerment. She is a board-certified plastic surgeon, owns a skincare studio, is extremely active in several breast cancer nonprofit organizations, and has a strong academic involvement in the plastic surgery community.
Many plastic surgeons do tremendous work, but few go to the lengths that Dr. Parcells has to make their patients feel comfortable and confident with their bodies both before and after a procedure. Dr. Parcells educates and empowers each of her patients, helping them to make the best decision for their own bodies while feeling confident and feminine in their own skin.
With the level of care Dr. Alexis Parcells gives to her patients, it’s no surprise that her practice has grown rapidly. Even though she launched her own practice in the middle of the pandemic, women seeking plastic surgery have chosen Alexis time and time again thanks to her unmatched level of patient support.
Growing up, Dr. Parcells was the daughter of a physician whose practice was attached to her house. Her father was admired and looked up to throughout the community thanks to his service as a local doctor, and Alexis knew then that she wanted to work in the medical field one day. Even though she wasn’t initially accepted to med school, she never gave up on her dreams and attended St. George’s University in order to become certified and begin work as a surgeon.
Dr. Parcells has had to step out of her comfort zone countless times as a surgeon, and by doing so she’s discovered who she really is and what she’s made of. Now that she knows the limitless potential she has as a surgeon and an advocate for women, she feels fulfilled and enjoys each and every day of her career.
Now that she has an established practice with a consistent stream of patients being referred to her for procedures, Alexis focuses more of her time on changing the stigma around plastic surgery. She wants women to feel empowered and not guilty or ashamed of their choice to get treatment, and she works tirelessly to promote a culture of positivity and self-love amongst women everywhere.
It’s clear that Dr. Parcells is much more than just a surgeon. She is a force in the medical community, a leader and advocate for women’s health and empowerment, and a tremendous business owner and entrepreneur. This is only the beginning for her as she continues to strive for greatness in her career.
