While influencers work as hard as possible to go viral, Terry Maxwell was able to do it with a simple wave of his hand. How?
Here is the video that made him go viral:

The video was posted on Lil Esco 28’s twitter on January 8th and has accumulated over 7 million views to date. Even though Terry was just a bystander in the background, his iconic wave with the words “Hey! How’s it going?” has fueled a mission built on personal branding.
Even though he just recently started to become well known, his journey in the field of business started many years ago.
Terry’s first steps in the field of business started during his graduate school studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. While being a student, Terry ran a prepaid boost mobile phone service, a smoke shop, and sold glass pipes. While he saw early success, his smoke shop was quickly shut down. Terry proceeded to graduate from college and decided to move out to Miami after a major boost in income from investments in Bitcoin.
During his time in Miami, Terry met up with the posse of Lil Esco 28, and business manager Nillz. He formed an early friendship with the rising crew and quickly became acquainted with social media marketing. After hanging out with Lil Esco 28, Terry got his chance and blew up off the viral video mentioned earlier.
Terry has since used the momentum from the video to brand himself into a public figure known for being the guy who says, “Hey, How’s it going?”. He’s even used one of apple’s popular emojis of a guy waving as a symbol of his personal brand.
Terry currently resides in Miami and currently runs a CBD processing company called M6 Labs, and a brand called Nobel CBD which focuses on white labeling and brand development. He also continues to run his family finance business.
Terry is a perfect example of how powerful the internet and social media can be for branding. As the user count on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok continue to increase every day, expect more brands to use these mediums as tools for marketing.
