India has presented its bid to host the next men’s hockey world cup. As per the reports from the International Hockey Federation (FIH), India is the third nation that has expressed its willingness to host the next edition of the men’s world cup. Prior to this, India had hosted the men’s world cup thrice and this time it wants to conduct this international event between January 13 to 29, 2023 window.
Other than India, the two countries namely, Belgium and Malaysia, have also sent their dossiers for seeking permission to host the next men’s world cup. However, both Belgium and Malaysia have mentioned the time period between July 1 to 17, 2022 for hosting the event.

FIH also released a statement that a total of five countries have presented their bids to host the Women’s World Cup. The three countries Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands have sent their bidding dossiers to host the event from July 1 to 17, 2022. While Malaysia and New Zealand want to conduct the tournament between January 13 to 29, 2023. However, the FIH Task Force will conduct a meeting on November 6 to study all the bidding dossiers and will dictate its final decision on both events’ host on 8 November 2019 in Lausanne.
