There are very few 22 year olds with as much ambition and maturity as Kissa McCarty. While still finishing up her college career, she’s been able to grow rapidly on social media to the tune of over 1.3 million followers across all platforms. Since getting her start on Instagram and quickly growing her page by the thousands of new followers, she’s since expanded her fitness brand to platforms like Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, OnlyFans and Snapchat.
While Kissa is new to the social media influencing world, her work ethic and tremendous dedication is nothing new. She worked all throughout high school to purchase her first car, all while maintaining a high GPA in all advanced classes. Her original plan was to become an engineer after college, but after being reposted on a popular Instagram account and garnering new followers by the bunches, she decided to go all in on a career as a social media influencer.
When asked about her big break on social media, Kissa says, “I always felt like I sacrificed so much in high school, this was somehow the universe’s way of rewarding my hard work. I always like to think that luck is just when preparation meets opportunity, and social media has given me a chance to financially flourish and travel the world simultaneously.”
While social media has been lucrative for Kissa so far, she’s still faced criticism from friends and family. When she first started out in her career, Kissa admits that she put more weight on other people’s perception of herself. But, her mindset has evolved over time, and she’s learned to not let others dictate how she lives her life, even if she does have a close relationship with them. She’s realized that the only way to live the life she’s always dreamt of is to go places where other people are too afraid to go, and she has embraced the challenge with open arms.
Kissa grew up in a small town, and she still lives there to this day. With humble beginnings and small town roots, adjusting to the life of a social media influencer with her name in the spotlight has been an eye opener for her. She’s had the opportunity to be around some big name celebrities that she would have only dreamed of ever meeting just a few months prior, like attending NBA superstar Kevin Durant’s 31st birthday party in New York City. Her whole journey so far is something she’ll never take for granted, but Kissa feels her career is only just getting started.
