Ever since the rise of artists like Wale and Goldlink, the DMV area has been spawning a plethora of hip-hop talents looking to lead the new school. Amongst the growing list, Lor Sosa is looking to heir the throne.
The 21-year-old artist has been gaining ground quickly, utilizing a self-created and unique sound to win fans over. Nowhere is that sound better exemplified than in his new single “What It Was.” It’s his first single since his hit song “Blink” which dropped months back.
The grungy, dark release clocks in at just under three minutes, Sosa offers up drill-like vocals, a bouncy flow, and authentic lyrics. The single tells a vivid story of Sosa’s past and his current lifestyle. In only one month after its release the “What It Was” official video garnered over 700,000 clicks. Check out the single below.
