Traditionally known for country music, Alabama is home to up-and-coming artist Marcus Swain aka Solstice who is looking to change the musical environment in his home state. He wants to change the narrative of what people often think of when they think of the south and its music as he knows there is much more to offer from the local talent. Paving the way for artists to follow, Solstice is using his unique edginess to capture people’s attention and put Alabama on the map in the music Industry.
“Having operated in two completely different genres, I’m influenced by a lot of people. Vocally, I’m influenced by The Weeknd, Chase Atlantic, PARTYNEXTDOOR, PVRIS, Black Atlass, among other artists,” says Solstice. He loves the energy and vibe that these artists bring in their work and strives to one day live among the ranks of these talented people. Creating a unique sound like no one else has before and pulling inspiration from some of the biggest artists in the game, Solstice is well on his way to switching up the culture in his area.
As he continues to push for a musical environment change in his home state, Solstice has a lot planned for the year ahead. He has a bunch of new music on the way that he is excited for fans to hear and hopes they love it as much as he does. “Along with a couple of singles, I plan to release this new project later this year and it’s going to be special; very special,” mentions Solstice. He has no doubt in his mind that this year is his year, and nothing is going to stop him from getting to where he wants to be.
