Neema Namdar is a tenacious defender, and a deadeye 3-point specialist… His total of 97 three-point shots made during his sophomore season (2017-18) at Utah State University Eastern currently ranks in the top 25 of All time shooters in the National Junior College Association for single season 3-point shots made. While at it, he also set USU Eastern’s record for most 3-point shots in a game, 10 made threes… That JUCO season moved him up to Division II college Hawaii Pacific where he later graduated in 2020.
Neema’s hoop dreams continued to carry on from there… His effort on both sides of the court got him an offer to play professional basketball. He accepted a rookie contract to play for Novo Basquete Ponta Grossa, a professional team in Brazil which competes in the CBB.
According to Eurobasket Inc., an official statistic reporting agency for overseas ball, he played a total of 11 games with an average of 6.8 minutes of playing time per game… He tallied up a total of 21 points averaging out to 1.9 PPG. His season’s 3-point Shooting Percentage was above average as normal finishing out at 41.2 3P%.
Although limited so far in his professional career to let’s say “rookie time”, Neema Namdar is not one to go unnoticed… He is known for putting on exciting performances and has leadership abilities that control the pace of the game. This has recently been shown through Neema Namdar’s performances in the Powder League. Powder League is Pro-Am Basketball League in Salt Lake City, Utah in which mostly current and ex college players compete. It has hosted several NBA and NBA G-League players as well including Rayjon Tucker from the Philadelphia 76ers, and Frank Jackson from the New Orleans Pelicans.
