Protests following the death of George Floyd have entirely shaken the U.S., while the country is still struggling to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. Celebrities and influencers across America are participating in this war against racism. Pastor Mike Signorelli took to Instagram and urged the white leadership to take a stand against racism and help eradicate it by self-reflecting and taking action.
Mike stated that “the new racism is actually the denial that racism still exists.” Signorelli shared that people need to examine and dig deep within to look for answers. “We need to remove the plank in our own eye and see that we’re contributing,” he added. “It might be on a different level of in a different way, but it’s still the same racism that needs to be eradicated in our heart, in our soul and our spirit.”
Signorelli called his post as a call-up instead of a call-out to take this effort to the next level. “Let’s try to do more than just post a meme this time; let’s self-reflect,” he urged his followers.
Lead Pastor at the V1 Church, Mike Signorelli, is keeping up with his fanbase through his social media handles on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. One of the most influential modern-day pastors in America, Signorelli, took his sermons online when the coronavirus outbreak led all states to enforce a shutdown. The young preacher has handheld atheists, agnostics, truth-seekers, and the like to reinstate their belief in God in testing times.
While the George Floyd protests have reopened scrutiny of policing in the United States, Pastor Mike Signorelli believes that the change has to come from within. People need to channel their outrage into something meaningful and constructive.
