On Friday, President Trump denied allegations of dispute in the Whitehouse over the United States’ situation with Iran. He further went on to rip reporters for citing anonymous sources in the stories being peddled about his administration. The president made this statement while giving a speech at the convention of Realtors in Washington, where he referred to the use of anonymous sources in stories as bullshit.
The President also went on to deny reports of turmoil with Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State, and John Bolton, the National Security Adviser, as they work hand-in-hand to solve the situation with Iran.
Earlier in the week, President Donald Trump berated the Washington Post and the New York Times in a Tweet for publishing unfound claims of infighting in the Whitehouse of the current administration’s policy in the Middle East.
These tweets from the President came amidst tensions between Tehran and Washington as the Pentagon on Wednesday ordered all nonessential government staffs to leave Iraq with several unspecified threats the President Trump’s administration has linked Iran to. The recent scuffle between Iran and the United States has sparked concerns of possible war breakout among lawmakers who have drawn comparisons between the current situation and the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War.
Before he ended his speech on Friday, the president announced a tariff-scrapping deal with Canada and Mexico which will end the trade dispute sparked by the imposed tariffs on imported aluminum and steel as a threat to national security.
