Meet the man who holds the key to the treasure chest that contains the secrets and the blueprint to developing an online brand and persona. Austin the Manager a.k.a. “The Guy with The Shoe Phone” is a digital manager priding himself on authenticity and doing honest work, turning a negative outlook on social media into a leverage tool that brings value and develops credibility online. Austin is the dot connector between the music and social media worlds, providing all the help he can by providing the connections and paving the path for people to succeed in the online space.
Austin the Manager has always been fascinated about the online media space and how it can be leveraged to build a brand and used to create a network community of successors. After running his own social media growth company for two years, he advanced into a Vice President of Sales at Everyday Success Team, a full-service marketing agency. As the Vice President, Austin is teaching hundreds of artists, brands, and entrepreneurs how to enhance their social credibility and teaching anyone who is willing to learn, how to sell the services and earn a great income from their phone.
The one thing Austin focuses on more than anything is authenticity. He understands how social media can be devious where people are trying to be someone they aren’t or taking advantage of others. Austin focuses on changing this stigma by opening himself to be easily approachable and portraying himself truthfully on the internet. In Austin’s words, “In the social media space especially, it’s easy for someone to put up a front and act like someone they’re not. When I put out content, it is my priority to be the person that my friends and family get daily, not the person who ‘I think’ the internet would like. I’m here to show people you can be successful by truly being yourself”. This is how Austin really separates himself from everyone else.
Austin faced hardships early in the social media game that required him to find his niche and find what works for him as an entrepreneur in the digital world. He explains it as, “I’ve faced obstacles every day on my journey as an entrepreneur. Some were big and others were small, but one of my biggest obstacles was deciding between what I ‘should do’ with my life and what I wanted to do. I went to school for cyber security, a field I had a lot of interest in, but I also started social media growth as a side hustle my freshman year of college. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I loved working on social media, however I wasn’t making a lot of money with it yet”. Austin took the entrepreneurial route of doing what he loved, over making more money in something that he didn’t enjoy as much. This led to people judging Austin and questioning his decision that he didn’t make the right one. Austin lets this fuel him to do even greater.
Austin explains, “Decision making is a crucial skill for success and it is essential you don’t let your decisions get impacted by other people’s agenda. You have to make decisions that benefit you, if you don’t, you may not have a career to work on when you decide it is time to focus on yourself”. Austin brings great value to his own content and all his clients that he works with. He describes his value like “What sets me apart from many others in this industry is that I do business transparently. Clients get my cell phone number and can reach me at a moment’s notice. I reach out 3-4 times per month to ensure their questions are answered and their campaign is running smoothly, more often than not we talk multiple times every week. I make myself available and this ensures my clients are comfortable”. Alongside Everyday Success Team, Austin has been able to find his groove working with a company that only does honest, transparent business where clients know exactly what they are receiving before investing a single dollar. Austin describes the services, “we’re helping people increase their social credibility on any platform you can think of, Instagram and Spotify being our most common. We help our clients gain more followers, likes, views, and comments on Instagram and plays, monthly listeners, and song saves on Spotify. I like to say your Instagram is your resume these days and we help our clients say that they graduated with a PhD and a 4.0 GPA, providing credibility to aid in exposure”.
Austin leaves us with, “Don’t wait for opportunity, create it”. Austin didn’t wait around for an opportunity to come to him and in fact, created a resume and built qualifications from opportunities he made happen off nothing. Austin plans on continuing moving outside of his comfort zone and will embrace fear because it brings valuable lessons and experience that will help him become more successful.
