Living Room
When Tesia first began diving into her own home renovation wishlist, she began in her living room. Working to repaint and retexture the walls was her first task, followed by installing floors and finishing trims. Currently, Tesia is still working to complete her living room, as she has switched to working on her kitchen and dining area in the meantime.
Dining Room/Kitchen
One of the most notable and valuable rooms in any home is its kitchen. With this knowledge in mind, Tesia began to ponder her own abilities and skills and started right away. In her dining room and kitchen, Tesia removed wallpaper, retextured the space, and added new wall coverings and paint throughout.
Additionally, she also completed all of the trim work and flooring without the assistance of a professional contractor. Soon, Tesia will be installing a brand new backsplash throughout her kitchen to help bring the modern look together.
Finding Inspiration
Tesia Dobrydnia understands that at times, we all need a bit of inspiration, especially when it comes to home remodeling and renovation projects. When Tesia first began renovating areas of her own home, she wanted to know where she could turn to find inspiration that would truly resonate with her. Some of her favorite places to seek out inspiration for home remodeling projects today include:
- Traditional magazines: The use of traditional interior design magazines can be extremely helpful in seeking inspiration for new renovation and remodeling projects. Additionally, new color schemes and item styles can also be easily discovered using traditional magazines for home, garden, and remodeling work.
- Social media: Another way to search for instant inspiration for your next home remodeling project is to create social media accounts. Social media platforms such as Pinterest or Facebook Groups are designed to promote videos, graphics, information, and particular topics that individuals are interested in. Using social media can also provide you with your own digital platform to collect and share your findings for future reference.
- Home decor and furniture shops: If you enjoy finding inspiration for your home remodeling projects while you are out in the world, consider visiting local home furniture and decor shops near you. Home furniture and decor shops not only provide access to plenty of inspiration, but you have an opportunity to test and use the furniture in person before making a decision.
