The US President Donald Trump has made an announcement on twitter to select the winner of the #MAGACHALLENGE and invite them to the White House. And after the tweet by the US President, the popularity of #MAGACHALLENGE has increased enormously. However, not many people were aware of this challenge and it was only after the tweet from Donald Trump that people are getting to know about this challenge.
#MAGACHALLENGE is a trend started by pro-Trump rapper Bryson Gray by releasing a snippet of his song “MAGA BOY on Twitter on September 14th, 2019. After this tweet from Donald Trump, more people started to post videos of the rap song to get themselves highlighted. Bryson Gray dared the other pro-Trump republicans on Twitter to jump on the official #MAGACHALLENGE instrumental by recording a verse alongside his already-recorded verse and chorus.
In the beginning, people got confused after seeing Trump’s tweet because they were unable to find the official website or rules to define what the #MAGACHALLENGE is. A high volume of Trump supporters has started submitting their different version of the music in order to be lucky to be invited to the White House. #MAGACHALLENGE has got its naysayers and critics who are terming this challenge as the thinly-veiled attempt of President Trump to court black/urban votes. Even the people who don’t know anything about rapping are tweeting their version of the music on their official twitter accounts.
