Passing the UK driving license tests brings freedom and opportunities in an individual’s life. But the applicants now need to pass some lessons that contain some theory and practical tests. A provisional license is mandatory to get a full license. It allows applicants to drive on the road after following some instructions.
The UK applicants are applying for a provisional license at the age of 15 years and 9 months, and at the age of 17, they are authorized to avail full license and even avail new dates in case of driving test cancellations.
The UK transport ministry has made it mandatory to read a license plate from 20 meters, proof of ID, address and passport. After getting a provisional license and reaching the age of 17, applicants are liable to get lessons through a qualified driving instructor. The instructor can be a family member or friend with a relevant full license for three years.
It is also mandatory to get valid insurance before driving the car. A display of L plates in the front and rear sides of the vehicle is also mandatory.
DVSA has issued a database of approved driving instructors from which the applicants can select anyone to conduct the necessary lessons.
Persons found driving without an instructor can be charged up to £1,000. People are hiring the instructor at different rates to complete the lessons. There are many factors that are affecting the license passing rate such as age, lessons, driving practice and learning style.
According to DVSA, all the lessons should be passed within 45 driving hours.
