The non gaming video app TikTok is following suit of it’s competitor YouTube to generate more of the How-to videos. How-to videos have always been popular on YouTube and are known to grow encouragement in large scale. It appeals to the watchers thus TikTok has also decided to get it on their app too.
TikTok had earlier successfully launched the ‘Learn on TikTok’ hashtag. Premium creators produced content for the same and used to get tiktok likes fast. Now the app is set to launch something called the ‘Learn’ feature in its app according to multiple users and social media watchers. A completely new menu item called Learn has caught the sight of various people.
‘Learn’ featured at the top of the home screen beside ‘For You’ and ‘Following’. It is described by the app as a place to find how-to and other informative videos that have been posted by viewers. Here the videos will feature various topics from Food, Art, Scientific processes and much more in the lines of teaching something to the watcher.
The menu is still in its testing phase. It appeared and then disappeared overnight from the app. A new promotional campaign has been launched by the app for educational content that can be discovered through the #LearnOnTikTok hashtag. TikTok also mentioned that they are exploring many ways to offer the users best content and additional techniques to thrive using the app. They are also building a creator learning portal to provide insights, tools, and best practices to make quality content on TikTok. ‘Learn’ is the step towards it.
